Lee - You may remember me... I am Dean C. and Evelyn's youngest, Linda. I have postponed looking at this posting but finally got enough nerve this evening. What a blessing you have provided for many, especially to those of us who called him "dad". I caught my first fish riding on his back with him wading a stream in Ashe - West Pine Swamp Creek. Thank you for the moving tribute! Please look my family up if you are ever in our "neck of the woods", Kingsport, TN.

Thanks, Lee, for a wonderful tribute to a wonderful first cousin. Your video captures Dean C. perfectly -- the twinkle in his eye, and the big smile when talking about his love of fishing. You also totally captured the fact that just being with him without much chatter was precious time spent. it's hard for me to think of those mountains without him present but just being by those creeks will feel as if he is still very much there.

Thanks Lee. It is good to get more details about Dean C. What an impact he had on the people of Ashe County and beyond.
