Lee Jones understands America’s commitment to our veterans and the military community is solemn and everlasting.  As Senator, Lee Jones will work to renew America’s commitment to veterans by promising to serve veterans with the respect they deserve.  Lee will seek to serve veterans by;

Working to Ensure Quality Health Care for All Veterans with All Conditions

• Fully fund veterans’ health care 
• Provide continual health care for Guard and Reserve families.
• Standardize and increase the frequency of inspections of military hospitals to eliminate neglect and abuse of our veterans.
• Expand resources and procedures for traumatic brain injuries and post traumatic stress disorder  
• Provide health screenings for every veteran coming home with medical and psychiatric care providers.

Demanding that Veterans and Military Families are Treated with Fairness and Respect

• Eliminate the disability claims backlog and develop procedures to insure backlogs will not re-occur
• Equalize the gap between military and civilian active duty pay.
• Expand input from military families in family policies and support family readiness groups.
• Modernize the GI Bill to satisfy the educational needs of today’s veterans
• Establish a student loan relief fund for mobilized Guard and Reserve troops and expand vocational training for veterans with disabilities and occupational challenges.
